Lexmark and Dell Quietly Upgrade Consumer/SOHO-Oriented Inkjets

Back in January, shortly before Lexmark announced its most compelling line of business inkjet all-in-ones to date (see “Lexmark Gets Serious about Business Inkjets with New OfficeEdge Series”), the company also updated the low end of its inkjet all-in-one line, quietly rolling out the S315, S415, and S515. Meanwhile, Dell announced its first new inkjets in quite some time on March 22 with the rollout of the V525w and V725w all-in-ones. As is the case with many but not all of Dell’s inkjets to date, the V525w and V725w are based on a Lexmark engine—the same one used in the S315, S415, and S515.
