On January 18, Ricoh announced that it has acquired Avanti Computer Systems Limited for an undisclosed sum. Avanti is the provider of the Avanti Slingshot print management information system (MIS) for the production print market. According to Ricoh, this is “one of the most advanced JDF-certified Print MIS available in the market today.” Ricoh notes
