On December 4, Nikkei Asia reported that five major office-equipment manufacturers eliminated some 16,000 jobs between January and September, with some analysts calling for industry realignment and partnerships to survive the steep fall in office equipment likely to continue due to the coronavirus pandemic. The article looked at Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta, Xerox, and Fujifilm.
