Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes once asked, “What happens to a dream deferred?” While this may not be the application that the poet envisioned, it is a question worth pondering now that ODP Corporation, parent company of Office Depot, OfficeMax, and other businesses, has once again crushed Staples’ long-held dream of merging with Office Depot.
