In October 2022, Tradetech Sdn Bhd, an office-equipment dealer based in Brunei, Borneo, and its managing director pleaded guilty to selling counterfeit HP printer cartridges (see “Dealer in Southeast Asia Guilty of Selling Counterfeit HP Ink and Toner Products”). On December 24, 2022, the company received its sentence: a fine of BND 64,500 (U.S. $47,970).
