The staff at Actionable Intelligence is profoundly saddened by the bombings that took place at the Boston Marathon on April 15. We offer our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones or were injured and to the families and friends of all those who have suffered. With much gratitude, the AI staff can report that our families were unharmed. We are touched by all those from around the world who inquired as to our status.

As frequent observers—and sometime-participants—in this hallowed race, we can imagine the pain the victims and their families are suffering. The bombs went off a little over four hours into the race, a time when only amateur athletes would have been finishing. The innocent victims gathered at or near the finish line were families and well-wishers cheering on runners whom they loved and admired. They were there to show their pride and acknowledge a race well run. Our hearts are broken that they have suffered so grievously as the result of a senseless, cowardly, and cruel act.
