Ninestar has launched G&G-brand replacement cartridges that it says provide IP-safe workarounds for a Canon patent at the center of recent infringement allegations and Amazon takedowns, according to a February 24 announcement. Canon’s European patent – EP 3 470 931 (EP ‘931) – covers cartridges used in a family of small monochrome printers and MFPs.
