On June 17, just a couple of days after Apex Microelectronics announced compatible replacement chips for the toner cartridges employed in some new Toshiba A3 color and monochrome MFPs (see “Apex Launches Chips for New Toshiba A3 MFPs Released in China”), rival third-party chipmaker Zhono announced that it has replacement chips for these same devices.
