In early October, Collins Ink Corporation announced the termination of its agreement to supply Kodak with ink for its Versamark high-speed inkjet printers (see “Collins Ink Ends Exclusive Reseller Agreement with Kodak”). Collins Ink told Versamark customers that they could buy inks directly from Collins Ink at prices that “tend to be lower than what you paid Kodak for our inks.” Collins Ink attributed its action to Kodak’s deteriorating financial condition. On October 17, Kodak filed suit against the ink maker in U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
