Toshiba Losses Mount with $2.3 Billion Nuclear Writedown

Financially struggling and scandal-wracked Toshiba told investors this week that things are worse than they thought. The Japanese technology and industrial conglomerate warned markets on Tuesday that the $6.2 billion annual operating loss it had been anticipating will be bigger because of a $2.3 billion writedown of its stake in its U.S. Westinghouse nuclear unit.
