Last week, Seiko Epson Corporation sued Bixolon America Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Epson claims that a number of Bixolon’s point-of-sale (POS) printers infringe its patents. Bixolon Co., Ltd. is a South Korean maker of POS, mobile, and label printers. It was spun off from Samsung in 2002.
