Last year, a company called K.Mizra LLC filed suit against a number of printer and MFP makers, including Lexmark, HP, and Toshiba, claiming that they infringed a number of patents that originally belonged to Sharp. The lawsuits against Lexmark and HP have been resolved via settlement, but K.Mizra and Toshiba are still battling in court.
