On July 13, Canon asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota to enter a consent judgment and permanent injunction against Katun Corporation and its parent company General Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. The judgment will bring to an end a patent-infringement lawsuit that Canon filed against the two third-party supplies firms last summer.
