HP has worked to strengthen its arguments for dismissing a would-be class action that accuses the OEM of violating various federal and state laws by using firmware updates to prevent certain inkjet printers from using aftermarket inkjet cartridges. HP filed its reply in support of its motion to dismiss the class-action complaint on August 27.
