A potentially expensive lawsuit filed by the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) against HP Inc. will soon get underway again. The patent-infringement lawsuit has been stayed for nearly two years pending the outcome of Apple’s and Broadcom’s appeal of a $1.1 billion jury verdict awarded to Caltech in a similar case asserting the same patents.
