In identical announcements that appeared on Indian websites CRN.in and IndiaTechnologyNews.in on June 27, Epson revealed that it worked together with Indian authorities to raid counterfeiting operations in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bhatinda. Epson said that together it and local law enforcement conducted “swift and well-coordinated” raids in April and May 2023
